  • Test your summoner across tabletop-inspired combat
  • Grid-based battlefield and over 500 cards
  • Full cross-platform support

In case you missed it, D20Studios has opened pre-registration sign-ups for Abalon, the studio's roguelike deckbuilder on iOS and Android. Formerly titled Summoners Fate, the CCG puts your tactical prowess to the test across a tabletop-inspired adventure.

In Abalon, you can look forward to diving into turn-based dungeon-crawling combat as you cast spells, take down monstrous foes, and score loads of dungeon loot on a grid-based battlefield. You'll be at the mercy of the dice when it comes to random encounters, and with more than 500 cards to tinker around with, you can try your hand at different scenarios (and different summoners) to help you along on your quest.

The colourful title offers a high level of replayability, with full cross-platform support that lets you play anytime, anywhere both online and offline. You can also dive into the fantasy world on both portrait and landscape orientations to suit your preferences best.

I personally had an absolute blast giving his a go back when it was still titled Summoners Fate, and it's interesting to see just how the game has evolved over the years. If you're curious about the experience, you can have a look at my preview to get an idea.

In the meantime, if you're eager to join in on all the fun, you can do so by pre-registering for Abalon on the App Store and on Google Play. The App Store gives it an expected launch date of August 26th, but do take that with a grain of salt as these things often change without notice.

You can also join the community of followers on the official Facebook page to stay updated on all the latest developments, visit the official website for more info, or take a little peek at the embedded clip above to get a feel of the game's vibes and visuals.
