Things are getting aquatic in Minecraft's new underwater update for iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch
Dive in now
One of the biggest games of all time has just gotten a little bit bigger with a brand new update. Minecraft has added in a whole host of underwater-themed features and content for mobile and Switch.
The update includes nine underwater biomes complete with plants and sea life, a zombie-like enemy called The Drowned which lives in the deepest depths of the sea, and bubble columns that essentially act as underwater lifts.
There are also shipwrecks to be explored where treasure maps can be found, as well as a new Trident weapon to keep The Drowned at bay.
It's impressive to see a game as old as Minecraft still receiving updates and new content today. We can only expect to see even more coming to the game from Mojang, but exploring the deep seas will tide us over until the next update.
