Vampire Survivors has officially launched on Apple Arcade. The new in-app purchase-free version of the game, Vampires Survivors+, lets you access not just the main game but also two DLCs.This fast-paced action-packed title was the highest-rated Steam game of 2022, with 98% overwhelmingly positive reviews. It has also won 2 Baftas and was featured in the New Yorker’s Best Video Games 2022 list.
Vampire Survivors is a popular casual action title featuring rogue-lite elements. A bullet hell game with a gothic horror vibe, this title lets you take on hordes of monsters. Your goal is simply to survive against mobs of enemies for as long as possible. As you play, you'll collect gold, which you can use before your next run to buy upgrades for your next survivor.
Vampire Survivors+ offers the most updated version of the game and features more than 50 playable characters and 80 weapons. There are also tens of upgrades to nab for your survivors. The Apple Arcade version also includes the 'Legacy of the Moonspell' and 'Tales of Foscari' DLCs, which you'd typically have to pay for on other platforms.
The DLC packs add a multitude of new weapons, characters and power-ups. Additionally, the DLCs include new stages for you to take on. Along with the launch, developer poncle released a new Vampires Survivors+ trailer. The trailer shows off some cool weapons and tons of action-packed levels.
The bullet hell title was created by the London-based game studio poncle. Founder Luca Galante developed the game during the pandemic as a way to hone his development skills. To his surprise, his ‘be the bullet hell’ game was a massive success.
