The latest deals spotted by our App Army
For frugal mobile gamers out there, our very own App Army might be the best place to find the sweetest, most up-to-date deals on the biggest games around. In fact, some of the discounts spotted today and over the weekend are so tantalising that we figured we’d share them here for you lot. Full credit for these finds goes to the awesome members of the App Army. Cheers, guys!
VandalsFirst off, we’ve got Vandals; an intense ‘sneak & paint puzzle game’. This one takes you on a globetrotting adventure across cities known for their striking street art. We reviewed it last year, enjoying its Hitman GO-like gameplay, fresh ideas, and sense of fun.
Now £2.69 on Google Play.
Immortal Rogue is a tricky roguelike which sees you playing as a vampire who has the ability to shape the course of civilization itself by deciding who to hunt. Dying puts you to sleep for 100 years, but the world around you keeps on moving with or without you.
That being said, you’ll always get to see the impact of your last run. For example, hunting the elites might actually stunt or push back industrial and scientific progress, resulting in your enemies having to rely on spears and clubs. We loved it for its wild premise, moreish combat, and high level of replayability – awarding it a gold rating.
Now £1.99 or $1.99 on the App Store.
NecroDancer AmplifiedThis here is the mobile prequel to the stellar dungeon crawling roguelike Crypt of the NecroDancer. It’s all about timing your movements and attacks to some groovy beats, and it’s just terrific – though challenging – fun. The original game and its prequel were received so well that Nintendo trusted the same developer to make this year’s Zelda spinoff Cadence of Hyrule.
Now $1.99 or £1.99 on the App Store.
Here’s another one we thoroughly enjoyed. See/saw comes to us from Zip-Zap developer Philipp Stollenmayer. It’s an ingenious puzzle platformer that boasts a wicked sense of humour and some truly tricky levels. Check out our full review right here.
Now $0.99 or £0.79 on the App Store.
Zombie Night TerrorThis one’s an interesting strategy game which flips the zombie genre on its head by putting you in charge of the horde. You’ll hunt down humans to build up your zombie gang, create all-new zombie variants through mutations, and tear through the game’s destructible pixel art world with reckless abandon.
Now $2.99 or £2.99 on the App Store.
