Top iPhone and iPad sales this week - January 8th
Final Fantasy VII, Cook, Serve, Delicious!, and more
Final Fantasy re-releases on mobile are pretty expensive, so it's a good thing Square Enix has pushed their prices down - though you should probably jump on them fast before the prices fall.
Yes, it's that time of the week where we round the biggest and best sales on mobile into one handy list, so you, our fine readers, can go out and buy a shiny new game for yourself at a special price.
This is by no means comprehensive - there's millions of mobile games after all - but we've picked out the finest titles from the available selection to show you. We know you've got taste, so we know which games are most likely to appeal to you.
Don't believe us? Check out the games below and see what tickles your fancy. There's something in there for everyone, so as long as you don't already own every single game on the list, you're sure to find something that you want to try.
And let us know in the comments if you find something that you decide to pick up! It's always nice to share your shiny new toys with the rest of us, even if you're essentially just showing off what you bought since we can't play them.
Final Fantasy VII
Price: $9.99/£9.99
Also available on Android
Final Fantasy VII is one of the best-loved RPGs ever made, and having it on mobile means you can play it literally anywhere you like and no one can stop you. Just try not to cry at THAT scene in public, yeah?
You probably want to get in on this deal soon though. The App Store listing claims that it'll go back up on price on January 6th, which was two days ago now. Quick! Buy it, before they notice and jack the price up again!

Final Fantasy IX
Price: $12.99/£12.99 Also available on Android
Another Final Fantasy?! Yep, Square hasn't taken the sale price off the ninth entry in the series either, but again, you'll want to be quick to make sure you don't miss out on this opportunity.
Final Fantasy IX is another well-loved entry in the franchise, and the last in its PS1 entries, making it a bit of an overlooked classic in some cases. Those who play it love it - maybe you will too.
2
Cook, Serve, Delicious!
Price: $1.99/£1.99 Also available on Android
A fast-paced restaurant sim to end all others, Cook, Serve, Delicious! has you building up your own restaurant, cooking all the meals, scrubbing the toilets, and basically doing anything you can to keep yourself running. Not for the faint-hearted.
3
Smash Tanks!
Price: $0.99/£0.99
Got an iOS device that can use ARKit? You should get Smash Tanks then. It's a fast-paced, ridiculous game about flinging tanks at each other, but it's all projected somewhere in the real world. Move around the board, smash some tanks, and prove yourself as the best tank smasher.
4
R.B.I. Baseball 18
Price: $1.99/£1.99 Also available on Android
Baseball is the classic American past-time, so you may as well get in on it while it's cheap. Line up your basemen, find out who's on first, pitch, hit, and score a homerun until everyone in the stadium finally goes home. Did I get that right? I know nothing about baseball.
5
Radiant One
Price: $0.99/£0.99
A short and sweet adventure game, Radiant One follows the story of Daniel, whose lucid dreaming takes a somewhat darker turn. It's pretty good too - we gave it an 8/10, and for that price, it's well worth a punt.
6
Last Voyage
Price: Free
Last Voyage has picked up a number of accolades - apparently we said it was "like going through the Star Gate in 2001: A Space Odyssey" when it launched, whatever that means. It's super weird anyway, and it's super free, so you should super download it.
