Wuthering Waves, the open-world action RPG from Kuro Games, will see its 1.2 update hit all platforms on August 15th, it has been revealed. The announcement also comes with a brand-new trailer, showing players what they can expect when the update goes live. And believe us when we say that it's more than worth the wait.
In the Turquoise Moonglow is what the version 1.2 update is called, and will be introduced in phases. The first brings a host of new content including quests, a new Resonator, weapons and more. Finally, you'll be able to experience several new events like the By the Moon's Grace Moon-chasing festival, which itself has an exclusive simulation management gameplay mode.
That's not all, of course, as there are plenty of other rewards, like a free 5-Star Resonator Xiangli Yao being given to players in the second half of the 1.2 update. There's also the introduction of a 120 fps mode for PC players, a custom lock-on feature and more all being added!
Wuthering Waves has been a bit competitor in the open-world RPG space, a genre that rapidly expanded after the success of Genshin Impact. But it's whether or not it can carry that success going forward, and continue to expand on the content that made it popular in the first place, that we reckon will contribute to its longevity.
