League of Legends: Wild Rift introduces Hextech to ARAM and more in latest update
  • Wild Rift is introducing Hextech to ARAM
  • There's also two new events coming in August
  • And a new outfit for Jayce!

It's only been a few weeks since the introduction of Lissandra and a host of other champions in Wild Rift patch 5.2, and although the news for patch 5.2a isn't quite as big, there's definitely some stuff to unpack. Most notably, Augments are coming to ARAM! There are new costumes, balance changes and more, as you'd expect.

First, the biggest news as it were. For those unfamiliar, ARAM is a 5v5 game mode that pits Champions against one another to destroy the opposing team's Nexus. Pretty simple and similar to the default, but it's getting a Hextech makeover that arrives August 9th, letting you pick from a variety of Augments drawn from the arena game mode when you jump into this new version of ARAM!

Then there's the Great Rift challenge, which is also arriving in this update, where you can earn Hextech Rift Badges and other rewards. That's set to begin on August 1st and is followed on August 13th by the Project A: A Rift Study event that lets you compete for a place on the leaderboard to win Poro Energies, Orange Gemstones and more.

What's more

There's also a whole host of balance tweaks which we won't get into here. Although suffice it to say you'll probably want to dig into them when they're fully released. But we can add on that Jayce is getting a new, swanky look with the Debonair Jayce outfit also being added.
