To run your restaurant in the game, you'll have to have a good grip on the basic mechanics. That's where BTS Cooking On guide comes into play!

After playing it for hours on end every day, and getting stuck more times than I can count, it's safe to say there are a few things you should know if you want to play it too. That's why I have prepared a BTS Cooking On guide to help you out in times of need and explain all the little things I discovered during my playtime.

I absolutely love cooking and games (no surprise there - I am writing this article, after all), and until this very one, I spent a lot of time playing Diner Dash and trying out every other mobile cooking game imaginable. So, when BTS Cooking On was released, I was beyond excited to dive into it.

Do you have cat-like reflexes?

Before we dive in, this is a question you need to ask yourself. Just like in Diner Dash and all the other cooking games focused solely on cooking and delivering special orders in time, you need to be prepared to tap and tap and tap some more, all in a span of a couple of seconds.

Some of the tips I shared revolve around completing orders quicker, while others will help you set up your workstation in such a way that helps you be successful in completing a lot of orders in a short amount of time.

I also answered a lot of the other questions I had myself during my playtime, after hours and hours of grinding levels and collecting cards. Yeah, there are some cards to be collected too! If you are a BTS fan, this game should be up your alley, because from the music to the characters, everything is amazing. The character design resembles the one in BTS Island a little too!

But let's check out the BTS Cooking On tips then, shall we?

Tip #1 - How to set up your cooking stations for success

One of the most important tips I could give you revolves around the cooking stations. As you move on to bigger and better restaurants, organising your cooking stations and serving customers on time is probably one of the most important things to keep your eyes on.

The best thing you can do is this: as soon as you start a level, you need to start cooking the item that takes the longest. Have that ready for the customers, and as soon as you serve one plate, start cooking another. If you know you will serve multiple customers the same dish, you could have the station working non-stop.

Basically, unless a dish is burning right away, you have time to serve up a dish and have another in the prep stage, as long as it's something customers order a lot.

Another thing you should be doing is, for instance, when serving ice cream, have the cones ready. When a customer wants one, just tap on the type they want, and replace the empty cone. That way you can always manage to stay on top of everything and never miss a single dish.

Tip #2 - Do your upgrades smartly

Upgrades cost Gold, and if you want to nail everything on the first try, you should do the upgrades as quickly as possible. The game lets you upgrade only the items in the Story Mode since the event ones are done automatically (at least, most of them).

I recommend you always upgrade the cookers that take the most time, so you can always prep plenty of food and have it ready for your customers. The number of cookers is always the best to upgrade before the quality of the food, because even if it pays more, if you can serve more customers AND do it quicker, it will make your cooking life a lot easier.

You often see a symbol next to the item the game recommends upgrading, so if you are in a pickle and don't know what to go for next, try following that. Oh, and don't forget to do upgrades after each stage. I always finish all of the upgrades for a restaurant before moving on to the next - that way, I never leave any restaurants unfinished.

Tip #3 - Go for the combos

Combos give you additional Gold and make the customers happy, so before you serve the customers one by one, I recommend finishing up a few dishes beforehand and serving them all up at once. Keep an eye first on what everyone wants, and then get to cooking - when it comes to serving, just serve the completed dishes one after the other in the span of one second.

You don't want to be slow when going for a combo, because then the combo gets broken. Serve up everything that is ready, and go for the combo starting with the dishes that are instant (the ones you don't have to prepare yourself), then go for the ones that you've prepared and take some time. By this time, you should have other instant dishes ready, so go for those once again.

There's a lot of back and forth in BTS Cooking On, so you need to try and get as many combos as often as you can if you want to pass some of the levels. Even early on, you can have a tough time in certain stages.

Tip #4 - How to unlock the photo albums in BTS Cooking On

I ran into this little issue right when I started playing, and it was because once you download and play the game for the first time, you get some photo cards in the mail. Those will then appear in your inventory, and they can be added to the album. However, you won't have all the albums the moment you start.

You only unlock the albums after level 17, and there are a few of them. Try playing a few stages more to unlock them all, and get to the second restaurant (stage 30) to get the third one.

How to get more Photocards?

To get more Photocards, you need to play the levels and get Purple Hearts from customers. Those you can obtain by getting lots of combos and finishing the stage with extra orders, extra customers, extra everything. Also, you can change the Photocard Book (photo album) you will earn cards for by tapping on it when in the stage preparation window. The hearts don't transfer between albums, so you will have to unlock them all eventually.

Tip #5 - Completing events should be a priority

Events are only valid for a limited time, and if you want to get the rewards from them, which usually include exclusive photos and unlimited boosters, I recommend you play them whenever you can, especially when you have unlimited boosters. Those will come in handy a lot more than you think.

I would suggest you also keep all the boosters for the events, because if you stumble upon an event that resets your progress upon failure (like the World Chefs event), you will need to use them to solidify your progress. Avoid using your boosters as much as possible during the story stages, and try to use them only for events.

Another tip you should know when it comes to events - whenever possible, don't use a booster beforehand. If you are in one of the stages like the ones for World Chefs, where your progress resets, don't use boosters on the checkpoint stages. Since you can replay those without losing your progress, just use the boosters on the stages that are close to the checkpoint stages.

Tip #6 - How to get more Gems

Last but not least, let's talk about Gems. Those are the items - the currency - you need if you want to buy more boosters. You can get some Gems every day in your mailbox, but you will need to watch an ad for that. I recommend you do that daily, because if you run out of boosters, using Gems can give you a huge advantage (especially in the tougher levels).

While we're at that, you should also consider watching ads to unlock double rewards or any additional rewards whenever possible. The game offers plenty of them, but you need every single one of them if you want to play in the events and finish them too.
