Kartrider Rush+ takes things back to the Three Kingdoms era for season 27

It's time to get medieval, or thereabouts

Kartrider Rush+ takes things back to the Three Kingdoms era for season 27
  • KartRider Rush+ is debuting season 27 with its newest content update
  • Set to feature a whole new line-up of historical figures from Chinese history
  • New karts, tracks and more are all on the cards!

Nexon's frenetic mobile kart-racing game KartRider Rush+ is back, with season 27 as its latest major content update. And this time we're going medieval (or close enough) on our opponents' butts, as Chinese history takes the forefront with famous faces like Guan Yu, Lin Bei and Zhang Fei Bazzi all taking to the race course.

The theme of season 27 is that of the Three Kingdoms era, itself an important and almost pseudo-mythological period in Chinese history. Comparable to something like Arthurian legend (which, golly, they already went and did), it features larger-than-life characters based on real people. So believe us when we say it's just as odd to see Guan Yu racing around in a kart as it would be to see Beowulf.

But even if you haven't been swotting up on your Chinese history, season 27 of KartRider Rush+ will offer a host of new tracks like the Lodumanis Cove, War Masters Longhouse and more. You can also grab new highlight karts like the Blade Saber and Cloud Saber to leave your competition in the dust, alongside a host of new celebratory events and rewards!

While it may be an odd addition for international fans, many of whom probably aren't all that familiar with Chinese history, you can't deny that season 27 looks to be a hefty update. We've got new kart riders, courses and a whole lot more for high-octane players to sink their teeth into - no matter what the theme may be.

But if kart racing isn't your thing, why not take a look at our list of the top five new mobile games to try this week? This features top picks from the last seven days we reckon are worth a go.
