Brawlhalla: A few basic tips to keep in mind in this bash 'em up game
A console classic on mobile.
Brawlhalla is one of the more popular fighting games on consoles and it finally has made its way to the mobile scene. This is one of the many console/PC games that have made the transition to mobile and in most cases, it works out very well and that includes here.
If you aren't familiar with Brawlhalla, the name should ring a bell as you're bound to hear about it somewhere considering its popularity. It's essentially a classic beat 'em up, free for all kind of game where you try and knock your opponents off of a platform.
It's immensely similar to the legendary Smash Bros. series of games. The main difference here is that the graphics are different with more cartoonish looking character model. The combat is also slightly different. Here are a few tips to help you out in this fighting extravaganza.
Head into Training mode
Yup. What better way to start, right? Some mobile games don't have dedicated practice modes, but luckily, Brawlhalla does, just like on the consoles. I highly recommend that you jump in there and put your skills to the test in a free, open environment.
You have no pressure to worry about as you smack another character around. Go ahead; run free, give your opponent the one-two, and test your character's abilities. Test out different areas and see which ones you perform best in.
That part doesn't really matter because there's a voting process for picking an arena, but it's still good to give yourself an idea of which locations benefit you the most. But the Training mode is definitely something you should check out, whether it's at the very beginning or if you already got a few matches in.
Finding your favorite brawlers
There are a slew of fighters in Brawlhalla. Whether it's the game's own characters or licensed fighters, there is a good chunk. You can even play as Rayman or WWE legends like The Undertaker. Take a look at them and see who suits your fancy.
Test them out in Training mode or take them into some real fights to see how things work out. Just like in Smash Bros. each brawler is unique with their sets of skills and abilities. One of the cool things though about Brawlhalla is that all fighters are unlocked.
Yup, no need to go through any hoops or hurdles to have access to all of the brawlers. Just pick them and go. With so many characters, you're more than likely going to have more than one favorite. Not to mention that you have characters from some of your favorite TV shows and video games. The options are solid so go crazy.
Use the weapons
Another thing that is similar to Smash Bros. that's in Brawlhalla is the dropping of weapons and power-ups from the sky. An assortment of weapons will drop down just waiting for you to take them. Grab one and dish out the damage.
Feel free to head back into Training mode once again. Weapons will constantly be falling, so you can check out everything. Most of the items are melee and are connected with certain characters. Use them to give a beat down to opponents and throw the item at them.
Throwing it at them is a nice way to potentially finish them off. It's also kind of funny in some ways, especially when the opponent is attempting to jump back up on the platform. Give them a nice ol' "bonk" and keep them down with a bit of style
