Grand Mountain Adventure is an open-world snowboarding and skiing game. It takes place from a birds-eye view style camera so its bite-sized look is perfect for mobile gaming. You can freely ride around a massive mountain and with its lovely graphics, it's pretty easy on the eyes too.

The fact that's open-world is interesting since there aren't very many (if any at all) that are snowboarding/skiing games so it's pretty refreshing. It's also quite a relaxing game if you just want to run free and explore the mountainous world you're dropped into.

And the fact that you can use skis or a snowboard should be pleasing to fans of both sports alike. There aren't exactly a ton of skiing games out there so including this element is nice. And it plays very smoothly, we'll give you a few reasons why you should give Grand Mountain Adventure a try aside from the fact that it's free to play.

A small, yet big open-world

Open world games are always a lot of fun to play but can certainly be time-consuming when you're doing a ton of exploring, quests, etc. Grand Mountain Adventure's open-world is great, but it isn't overwhelming and truly perfect for mobile gaming as I mentioned.

You'll likely enjoy riding through the winter wonderland of the mountains. It's fun whether you're a hardcore mobile gamer or someone who takes a more casual approach. You can spend time and have fun exploring this world freely.

You can find ramps and cliffs you can jump off of if you want to perform some tricks. What's a good snowboarding game without the adrenaline pumping jumps and tricks, right? So overall, this open-world will let you enjoy the sports of snowboarding and skiing at any time thanks to the glories of mobile gaming.

The game's pretty relaxing

If you want a more casual experience, Grand Mountain Adventure is great for that as well. Like I mentioned, it's balanced for both hardcore and casual gamers alike. This approach is highly important and is a great way to connect with many unique gamers.

Because yes, video games are indeed "games" but not all games have to be ones that you need to grind out in order for it to be enjoyable. Sometimes you just want to play a game to clear your mind and chill out. And with GMA on mobile, you can enjoy this anywhere you feel comfy (unless you're at work. If so, then don't let your boss see shredding the slopes).

Riding through the digital snow in a bite-sized form is pretty chill. And snowboarding in games already just feels smooth so this feeling on mobile is also valid. If you're not in the mood for competitions, you can just run free, and not think about a thing except the snow beneath your virtual feet.

Ways to compete

After you get your fill of simply skiing and snowboarding around freely, it's time to get into some challenges. This is a great way to get your winter extreme sports fix. The challenges can be time trials or can be something like performing certain jumps among other things.

Normally, you'll see a challenge after you hop on a ski lift that takes you to another part of the mountain. These are fun and are actually still relatively relaxing. Yes, there will be a tad bit of nerves as you try to stay between the goals on a time trial challenge for example.

The more challenges you beat, the more ski lifts you'll unlock that will lead you to even greater challenges. Online elements allow you to compete with scores from other players. And with the ability to use either skis or a snowboard, you sometimes never know what your next challenge might be.
