Of course, new mobile games are a dime a dozen these days, and who has the time to scour the iPhone, iPad and/or Android stores to catch the latest title that drops? This is exactly why we've gathered a quick list of 5 new mobile games you should try this week, from undiscovered indie gems to high-profile AAA masterpieces.
By the way, if you've got an unquenchable thirst for curated games you can obsess over each week, be sure to check out our NEW WEEKLY MOBILE GAMES hub, or join our lively community on Twitter or Discord.
Let's get on with it!
1
Step Safari
Life isn't easy on the safari - you've got hungry hippos, crafty crocs, and apes throwing unspeakable things at you when all you really want is to get from Point A to Point B without getting carried away by the tide.
In Step Safari, you'll stride through river currents and aim to get from one lilypad to another in one piece. Physics-based obstacles will always get in the way, however, and even with your long flamingo legs, you'll need to time your steps perfectly if you don't want to drown in the depths of the river below. You can also don your bird with pretty little hats and crowns to cross the river in style.

Bad Credit? No Problem!
Put your moral boundaries to the test in Bad Credit? No Problem!, a new pixel-art bureaucracy sim that will make you question your choices and crush your soul one loan application at a time. As a loan agent, you'll make the all-important decision of whether or not to approve applicants' appeals no matter how desperate their needs can be.
Similar to the acclaimed Papers, Please, Bad Credit? No Problem! challenges you with trying to balance clients' requests with the demands of a boss who's breathing down your neck. Do you try and beat the system for the sake of the people, or do you throw ethics out the window and give in?
3
Sword of Convallaria
Massive plot twists, strategic turn-based combat, and an epic quest to save the world - Sword of Convallaria boasts all that and more, inviting you to dive back into the old-school charm of JRPGs complete with pixel-art visuals and an evocative score (from FFXII's Hitoshi Sakimoto, no less). Collect distinct characters to aid you on your journey, then deploy them onto grid-based battlefields to save the land of Iria.
The choices you make throughout your adventure have lasting consequences as well, making each new chapter across the 120-hour journey even more impactful.
4
Power Rangers: Mighty Force
Will Rita Repulsa's reign of terror ever end? Fight back against her evil machinations and kick some serious Putty Patroller butt with this colourful new idle RPG - a true blast from the past if you're a fan of the equally colourful Power Rangers back then.
East Side Games adds its signature art style to modernise the 90s classic, with Power Rangers from every series you can collect to buff up your squad. You can also compete in weekly events to score cool upgrades that'll help you save Angel Grove from Goldar and the gang.
5
BTS Cooking On: TinyTAN Restaurant
Cooking games are a dime a dozen these days, but how often can you say you can collect exclusive photocards while expanding your BTS-themed restaurant at the same time? Com2uS invites you to go on a worldwide culinary adventure with TinyTAN, and as you're whipping up delectable treats for your restaurant, you can also earn Purple Hearts to score collectible photocards throughout your gourmet adventure.
The game also lets you clear stages and compete in global leaderboards. It's not easy vying for the top spot in the World Chefs Challenge - thankfully, you can indulge in some beloved BTS music as well while you cook up a storm in the kitchen.
