Marvel Contest of Champions is celebrating its eighth anniversary with the Fight the Multiverse trailer and numerous events
Worlds are colliding in Kabam’s Marvel Contest of Champions as the super popular mobile superhero fighter celebrates its eighth anniversary. For this year’s birthday celebration, the developers have smashed the dimensional boundaries with the new Fight the Multiverse video, which you can check out below.
In the trailer, players will find numerous variants of popular characters that belong to a roster of heroes and villains which has risen to almost 230 in number. The aim of the cinematic is to showcase that an endless multiverse of possibilities with champions from a tonne of distinctive universes exists.
Throughout 2022, many characters were introduced to Marvel CoC. They include Toad, Sauron, Captain America (Sam Wilson), Misty Knight, Captain Britain (Betsy Braddock), Omega Sentinel, Rintrah, Wong, Wiccan, Hulkling, Black Cat, Scorpion, Gorr the God Butcher, Valkyrie, Galan, Titania, Iron Man (Infamous), Spider-Man (Sorcerer Supreme), Spot, Shuri, Attuma, and the fan-voted ‘Summoner’s Choice’ winner Quicksilver.
To celebrate the eighth anniversary, a number of in-game events will be taking place. Until December 17th, rewards will be showered on everyone for just logging into the game and accessing the Anniversary Calendar. For extra Crystal Shards, Special Arena will be hosting a number of battles. In addition to this, players will receive a new themed profile picture and title that corresponds to the age of their account.
And to top it off, one last hero is still left to be added to that roster. The final addition to 2022’s Champion list is the most empathetic member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Mantis. She joins the game on December 15th through the Sabotage at the Mantis House event. Don’t forget to catch Rocket’s Holiday Spectacular event too, which is available until January 11th, 2023.
