Marvel Contest of Champions' v36.3 update introduces the Arachnophobia storyline, a new incursion, and more

Netmarble recently launched a content update for their mobile superhero game Marvel Contest of Champions. It introduces the Arachnophobia storyline that features new characters - no guesses for which insect-inspired hero will be there, alongside some new features and a bunch of improvements.

Arachnophobia

Marvel COC’s latest questline is titled Arachnophobia, and it sees Spider-Man and the Summoner join forces with the mystical Spider-Man Supreme as they take down The Spot. Find more details about these characters in our dedicated article.

The Spot’s spooky looks are perfect as we’ve entered the Halloween month. The supervillain has stolen all of Deadpool’s Halloween Candy and players can help recover it by logging in daily to collect this candy. Players will be able to enter the Spotted Dimension in order to go trick-or-treating, while also uncovering some extra rewards.

Castle Doom

The update brings a new incursion, which will take players to Victor von Doon’s paradise. Doctor Doom, the Infamous Iron Man, and the Doom Bots await your arrival. Summoners can choose to fly solo or enter with a friend. It will be extremely difficult though, since the challenge has been bumped up to the new Sector 9 level.

But, like always, the greater the risk, the greater the reward. Players will earn numerous rewards from three of their top sectors instead of two now. Plus, new champions and buffs are also part of the incursion.

Eternity of Pain

Summoners who have achieved the rank of Thronebreaker or higher will be able to participate in this new set of challenges. It is a gauntlet path which will comprise four Solo Objectives and two more for Paragon players.

Besides this, a lot of characters have been rebalanced with the update. And finally, some settings have been changed like the addition of a quick free crystal claim toggle, hero info showing if a character is owned, showing rank in defender view, and an option to select all ISO.
