NeuroNet: Medax Proxy is an upcoming cyberpunk adventure game releasing on mobile later this year
Dream Harvest’s NeuroNet: Mendax Proxy has been making rounds in the mobile gaming space for almost two years now. It was originally set to release in August 2021, which was pushed back to Q1 2022, and now finally, on May 4th, the game will launch on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Unfortunately, Nintendo Switch and mobile users still have to wait as the game will be available only after a while.
Inspired by Reigns, NeuroNet: Mendax Paradox is a cyberpunk visual novel based on city-management and moral dilemma mechanics. Players take on the role of an AI whose goal is to be an advisor for a city. Citizens will come to you to get their problems solved and unlike in Bruce Almighty, you can’t just grant everyone their wishes. Players must choose between the wants and needs of the city before making any decision.
As players progress through the game, their decisions will decide how the inhabitants of Catena feel about their AI supervisor. Some may treat it as a friend, others as a helper, and a few may be wary of it as well. It’s clear that everyone cannot be made happy. Every choice made will impact four domains – the city’s order and prosperity or the AI’s.
The ultimate goal is to keep all these elements balanced so that everyone is satisfied in some way or the other. Naturally, this isn’t possible in one playthrough, which is why the developers have ensured that no two runs feel the same. With the plethora of options available, each story is guaranteed to feel like a new one.
There is no concrete launch date for NeuroNet: Mendax Proxy on Android and iOS. You can check out the Steam and Epic Games Store pages for more information.
