Marvel Contest of Champions is launching its 10-year anniversary celebration with a new commemorative logo, as well as a new trailer and game updates. Further, as part of the celebration, developer Kabam partnered with Google Play at this year’s San Deigo Comic-Con to announce the Google Play Wheel of Champions.
The giant prize wheel was at the Martin Luther King Jr. Promenade. The prize wheel was open to the public from July 25th-28th. During SDCC, Google Play Points members were able to redeem points for exclusive rewards. As part of the anniversary celebration’s launch, Kabam has released a new CG trailer titled "Deadpool & Wolverine: BFFs”. The new trailer features Wolverine and Deadpool among other fan-favourite X-Men characters.
Additionally, you can now enjoy a special in-game side quest, Deadpool & Wolverine: Alpha Fight. Available through August 7th, the quest sees the two iconic heroes working together to rescue their friends. You'll complete weekly quests and solo objectives to nab sweet rewards like Deadpool & Wolverine-inspired cosmetics. Kabam is also updating Deadpool’s look to match how he looks in the new film.
Marvel Contest of Champions is a mobile action game in which Marvel heroes and villains battle it out. You’ll collect heroes and villains, level them up and create your perfect team. You can also join an alliance where you can earn rewards by completing alliance quests.
In addition to the aforementioned updates, Marvel Contest of Champions also welcomed Patriot and The Leader earlier this month. Patriot, aka Eli Bradley, is descended from one of the first super soldiers and co-founder of the Young Avengers. The Leader was once a high school dropout. However, a gamma explosion at a chemical plant left him with an undying thirst for knowledge.
